Bombay Sapphire creates Spanish greengrocers for foodie experiences

Bombay Sapphire brings a touch of Spain to Shoreditch with its reinterpreted greengrocer on the occasion of the launch of the Premier Cru Murcian Lemon variant of the brand.

The pop-up, which will be open for two days from November 26th, is a collaboration with Spanish artist Coco Davez, who turned the Great Eastern Street location into a vibrant Spanish restaurant and shop with a range of brightly colored patterns .

Davez’s design is inspired by the way the lemons, mandarins and bittersweet oranges used in gin are harvested and prepared. Their design aims to whisk people away from the cold, frosty streets of London into the warm, exotic atmosphere of the Spanish peninsula.

The “Frutería” shop offers Spanish-inspired delicacies with packaging designed by Coco Davez. The range includes olive oil fortified with lemon, Spanish almonds, canned lemon and Mediterranean olives. Shoppers can also purchase a G&T kit with a 70cl bottle of Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon and Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water and a bottled Lemon Posset cocktail from renowned bartender Rich Woods.

Inside the greengrocer is a tapas and cocktail bar that serves a seasonal Spanish menu by Jimmy Garcia, a catering curated to pair with cocktails made from Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon. The admission ticket Mediterranean dining experience includes a menu presented on a sharing board, followed by a shared dessert.

The drinks menu includes a Premier Cru Murcian Lemon & Tonic, a tingling Premier Cru French 75 and the Premier Cru Aviation with a cherry twist. There is also a hostess service from mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana, inspired by the Spanish region of Murcia, which includes Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru, lemon and melon peel-infused fino, lemon, bittersweet rosemary and absinthe.

A percentage of the profit from the shopping and dining experience will be donated to The Drinks Trust.

Ogilvy PR delivers the project.
